Development of database driven applications

Olivitek offers the following database related services:

Where a client has specific application design requirements that cannot be readily addressed by a CMS or portal solution, Olivitek can design and implement custom database driven applications. These applications allow end users to create, update and read data stored in a relational database. Examples of database driven applications recently designed and implemented by us include:

• A second hand book sales database. Hosted as a separate application embedded within a CMS.
• A schools database used by an environmental management group. Via the application administrative users can update and view school and program data and generate PDF reports.
• A member management module for a Hollywood film studio. The custom member management module allowed members to sign up and pay for their membership.  

Data architecture consultancy

Typically, many projects will include some degree of data consultancy. Data architecture consultancy includes initial domain modelling, physical data modelling and analysis (during the design and architecture phase of a project) as well as further data integration design.  In line with Olivitek's use of Agile methods, we recommend the use of the Agile or Evolutionary Data Modelling technique.
