At Olivitek we believe that each and every one of us has a responsibility to care for this unique and beautiful planet.

In our business operations, as well as in our own lives we seek to reduce our impact on the environment. We have taken a number of steps to this end. These include:

• Working remotely and using internet and phone conferencing to liase with clients wherever possible.
• If travelling long distances to meet clients we travel by public transport, wherever possible.
• Our office is energy efficient and environmentally sensitive, being made from strawbale rendered with clay and lime.  We only need to use heating for limited periods in mid-winter. In summer air conditioning is not necessary, even on the hottest days, due to the superior insulation provided by strawbale.  
• During the summer months we grow a significant proportion of our fruit and vegetables in the gardens outside.
• For all our US based hostings, our hosting provider offsets all their server emissions against locally harvested Wind Power.

Over the next few years we hope to run the office from 100% renewable energy (wind + solar) and to install solar hot water.
